Bhakti Shatak

Bhakti Shatak (Hundred Gems of Divine Love) written by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu ji Maharaj, is a clear and concise description of the complete philosophy of the devotional path for the seeker of divine love.

These verses reveal the deepest philosophy of the main scriptures of Hinduism including the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishads, and the Brahma Sutra, along with the Bhagwatam and the writings of the great Rasika Saints Roop Goswami, Sanatan Goswami and Jeev Goswami.

Apart from its priceless philosophy, its simple poetic form can easily be sung and remembered.

The uniqueness and arguably the greatest treasure of this publication is the inclusion of the explanations Shri Maharaj Ji himself wrote for each gem, giving readers far greater insight into the depths of these teachings. Taking the aid of our vast library of Vedic scriptures, and using his own innate ability to simplify their most esoteric meanings, Shri Maharaj Ji has opened up these verses in wa...

Attachment of the Mind

There is a story of some Brahmins of Mathura, who in a state of intoxication got into a boat that was chained to the shore. After a night of vigorous rowing, they found that they had not moved forward an inch. Exactly like that, devotion to God practiced even for innumerable lifetimes with the mind chained by attachments to wealth, children, spouse, and so on, will result merely in attainment of the material world, because devotion to God to not factually take place. There was only some external act of prayer, worship or ritual. The result one reaps depends on the attachment of the mind alone.

A Tribute to Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

The news of Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj's departure for his divine abode has left all the people of the entire land of Braja, including Vrindavan, in deep sorrow and utter dejection. Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj was a great Rasika Saint of the spiritual world.

He directly perceived the divine pastimes of Shyama Shyam, which is evident from his compositions that describe in minute detail the amazing pastimes of God. One who has seen with one's own eyes the pastimes of Shri Radha Krishna can alone describe them so vividly, and no one else.

Prem Mandir, a divine gift of Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, occupies an important place in Vrindavan. The passing of such a great Saint has left all the people of Braja in deep grief. We pray to Lord Shri Krishna to give strength to all his devotees to bear this pain.
