The Special Sweetness of Spiritual Principles
suno mana! sabai shrutina ko sara
Listen O my mind, to the gist of all the Vedas.
ika maya ika jiva duhumna ko, isha brahma sakara
There are two entities, maya and the individual soul, which are governed by the third entity, God
mayadhina sanatana jivahin, maya hi son pyara
The living being is eternally subordinate to maya, and therefore his natural attraction is just to the realm of maya.
jiva brahm ko divya ansha hai, charihun veda pukara
All four Vedas declare that the individual soul is a divine part of God.
yate yako vishaya na mayika, yaha mayika sansara
Therefore, its subject is not mayic, not of this material world.
mayika jaga son raga dvesha taji, rahu guru-sharana majhara
One should abandon all attraction or aversion in the material world and take shelter of a genuine Saint accepting him as one's Spiritual Master.
tajahu 'kripalu' apara sadhana bala, bhajahu yugala sarkara
Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj therefore recommends, "Abandoning all other spiritual practices, one should practice devotion to the Divine Couple."
